The National Press Foundation believes that journalism matters. Journalism serves as the checks and balances on our leaders and communities and engages the public. In journalism’s changing landscape today, these values and high journalistic standards are more important than ever.
Since 1976, the National Press Foundation has been committed to providing professional development programs for journalists so they are better prepared to cover current pressing issues. Today’s journalists especially need expanded education and training, which is why supporting the work of NPF is so important.
The National Press Foundation Annual Awards Dinner is the embodiment of what NPF stands for - recognizing the best in American journalism and celebrating why journalism matters. The dinner is one of the largest media dinners in Washington, bringing together more than 1,000 journalists, media, public relations and corporate executives, policy makers, and trade groups. The dinner provides NPF’s largest source of unrestricted revenue. By helping to defray our costs, you ensure that we reach more journalists each year through our no-cost training programs.
Please join us on February 16th to support excellence in journalism and show that journalism matters.
