Douglas Hopper
Douglas is a producer at National Public Radio for the daily talk show Tell Me
More with Michel Martin. He started his career at NPR as a Kroc Fellow, a year-long training program focused on radio
and multimedia storytelling.
The Indiana native moved to Oregon in the mid-1990's, where he obtained a B.A.
in electronic media from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication. Before pursuing a career in broadcast journalism,
Douglas worked in the field of public health, focusing on HIV/AIDS prevention
among GLBT youth in rural Oregon.
Douglas is a former J2J Fellow (Mexico, 2008) and a multimedia consultant for
The National Press Foundation.
